News coming out of England today suggests that Tottenham are on the verge of completing a £12 million transfer of Kenyan International Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
Wanyama is the subject of a bid from his former manager Mauricio Pochettino who is keen to sign the player he managed at St. Mary’s.
The Argentine coach is looking to strengthen his midfield in readiness for Tottenham’s participation in the Champion’s League and Wanyama fits the bill.
Three days ago a very close source to the player who spoke to soka25east.com but sort anonymity intimated it was just a matter of time for Tottenham to table a solid bid for the midfielder.
And now today reports coming in from the English media in particular the Mirror and The Daily Star indicates that Southampton are resigned to losing Wanyama who has only one year remaining on his contract.
Wanyama recently refused to extend his contract with the Saints and it is now believed that a deal could be done in the coming days.
