Money is said to be the bridge between the good and the bad and many say it’s the source of all evil and problems if not prosperity.
Trouble is looming in Uganda as the federation FUFA has threatened to withdraw league rights from the company they appointed FSLL after taking the same rights from USL in a protracted battle that landed both parties in court.
Soka255east.com has learnt that FUFA have written to Broadcaster Azam Media to deposit this season’s sponsorship money to their account instead of FSL in total contrast to the early signed agreement between all the three parties.
FUFA in a letter to Azam told the broadcasting sponsor to immediately start dealing with them directly going against the earlier agreement as they shaped for yet another protracted battle that may stall football in Uganda.
The new development started in late July and the Azam Media CEO Rhys Torrington wrote back to both parties and told them to sort themselves or they are not sending any more money for the league opener.
Azam signed with FUFA super league Limited ( FSLL). It is the company that Fufa gave rights after suspending the USLL.
