Newly signed Black Leopards and Lesotho international attacking midfielder Tumelo Khutlang is likely to miss out on Limpopo derby when his side takes on Polokwane City on Saturday evening as he is still awaits his clearance from former team Lioli.
Khutlang joined the Absa Premiership returnees last month from Lioli (Lesotho) following his impressive performance in this year COSAFA Cup played in Polokwane.
The 23-year old speedy merchant however did not form part Joel Masutha’s team that raveled to a camp for their season opener.
“I am still here in Limpopo and didn’t travel with the team to Polokwane because I am still trying to sort out my clearance with the team I was playing for in Lesotho,” stated Khutlang who said he called the Lioli management who promised to send the clearance on Wednesday but they never did.
“I called them (management) and they said they will send it on Wednesday but they never did and I spent the whole day at SAFA offices waiting for them, I also tried to call them today (Thursday) and they promised to make sure that it gets here,” he said.
Khutlang said he was ready and looking forward to their first League match but said he needs to remain focused.
“Look every player when he joins a team is because they want to play and I still don’t get it why I haven’t got my clearance until today yet we have since finalized everything with Lioli but I will have to remain focused and make sure I don’t get distracted.
“This is painful for me but it will too shall pass and hopefully it will arrive this week and maybe I will form part of the team that will be playing next match,” Khutlang said.
Lidoda Duvha loosely translated to the day will come will host City at Peter Mokaba stadium.
