Sunday Oliseh’s Super Eagles yesterday intensified their preparation for Rwanda CHAN 2016 starting next week Saturday with a 3-0 win over University of Pretoria.
Sunshine Stars Striker Tunde Adeniji scored a brace before El-Kanemi Midfielder Efeanyi Matthew could seal the win for Oliseh’s men.AmaTuks is one of the three friendlies Nigeria have put in place before the start of the tournament.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles
will face Angola and the Ivory Coast in international friendlies to fine-tune preparations for the
2016 African Nations Championship (Chan) in Rwanda.
The Super Eagles are currently in Pretoria, South Africa in the final leg of their preparations for the 2016 Chan.
Nigeria head coach, Sunday Oliseh who confirmed that the games against Angola will be played on January 6, also revealed that the Super Eagles will also face the Ivory Coast on January 11.
“The friendly is to get us (sharpened) as we cannot just rely on our training sessions alone.
“We will use the friendlies to see if what we have corrected (during our training sessions) we can put to work,” he told the media.
Angola and the Ivory Coast have both qualified to take part in the 2016 Chan.
Nigeria will face Tunisia, Niger and Guinea in Group C of the 2016 Chan.
