Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Sentamu has finally completed his long awaited move Tunisian giants SC Sfaxien from Dr Congo’s AS Vita.
The 2014 USPA player of the year striker, who had signed a four year deal with the Central Africa outfit AS Vita, has left the club just after spending only a year for Northern Africa side.
The 20 year old who signed a two and half year deal for an undisclosed fee, caught the attention of the Tunisian side while featuring for the 2014 CAF Champions League runners up where he scored two goals enroute to helping AS Vita reach the finals including one against his new employers in the semi-finals.
Speaking to the club’s television channel after signing, Sentamu said he had joined the club to help them win more trophies while also promising to bag goals for the club in order to make the side happy.
‘’My ambition is to make sure that we win more trophies as CS Sfaxien. I have so much respect for this club. It’s a good club and it gave us a good game when we played them in the semi-finals last year.
‘’Fortunately, we won by 2-1with me scoring the winner. My work is to score goals and since I believe in God, I will score goals for CS Sfaxien to make them happy, he said.
Sentamu joined AS Vita in January 2014 from Ugandan club Vipers FC and helped the club reach the final of the CAF Champions League.
