Teenage sensation Jentrix Shikangwa and Janet Bundi were on target as Kenya’s Harambee Starlets notched a 2-0 debut win over Northern Ireland B at the Alanya Gold City Cup, Istanbul Turkey.
Kenya lies second in group B behind Chile on goal difference, with the latter having scored a goal more.
The first half of the match produced no goals and the match was in a stalemate at the break.
But that was to change. Bundi shook the net for Starlets in the 62nd before Shikangwa doubled in the 75th minute to wrap all the points for the David Ouma coached charges.
Up next for Kenya is Chile on Saturday at the Starlight Sports Complex.
