Defending champions Tusker will welcome Ulinzi Stars coincidentally at the Afraha Stadium which is military’s men home turf on Saturday April 15, 2017 in their fifth premier league match of the season.

The brewers placed 14th position on the standings will be going for nothing but for a win, for them to maintain pressure on the table pacesetters Gor Mahia.

George Nsimbe coached side will be heading into the match without their instrumental captain James Situma who is serving a one-match ban for the read card he collected aganist Sofapaka last weekend.

Ulinzi on the other hand will be without Omar Mbongi who is on military duties but they will be banking on their on-form midfilder Samuel Onyango who is expected to dominate the centre of the field and assist in hunt for a win.

Tusker will be hoping to save face after unstable results over the last couple of matches.In this one they need also to maintain their bragging rights as in the last two years they have met three times with brewers emerging winners twice most recent being in the Gotv Shield where Tusker won 1-0 to complete their double last year.

The army men seem to be determined to shoot down the brewers as Geoffrey Kokoyo who is one longest serving players has called on his mates to maintain the fighting spirit throughout the season as he is so far impressed with how the team has started the season and is confident the push is there for silverware among the players.

“We have had a very good start and if we can keep on fighting like this as a team, then we will have a good season. It will be tough because competition this season is so intense. But if we can keep the team spirit that we have, then things will be okay,” the defender noted.

Kokoyo was at hand to nod in the first goal of the season last weekend when Ulinzi won 2-1 against Bandari FC in Nakuru last weekend and he is expected at his position to come to army men rescue.

A win for either side will see both teams join the top eight ranks in the league while a loss could pull them to a lower position for another one week.
