Tusker FC of Kenya will meet Egyptian Premier League Champions Zamalek in the CAF Champions League round of 32 after beating Djibouti’s AS Arta Solar .
Tusker qualified after beating Arta Solar 4-1 on aggregate. The two clubs drew 1-1 in Djibouti before Tusker succeeded in securing a comfortable 3-0 win in Nairobi.
The first leg of the round of 32 will be taking place in Nairobi between the 15th and 17th of October, while the second leg will be taking place in Egypt between the 22nd and 24th of the same month.
After a successful run in 2020 reaching the final, Zamalek had a disappointing CAF Champions League campaign last season after failing to qualify from their group.
The White Knights will be looking for their first title in 20 years as the last Zamalek CAF Champions League coronation was back in 2002.
The start of the 2022 CAF Champions League journey will be in the round of 32, as the Egyptian Premier League winners will be confronting Tusker FC.
