Tusker FC rolled into Kampala on Thursday and quickly settled down to prepare for Saturday’s big friendly game dubbed as “Battle of Champions” against KCCA FC.
Tusker took a drive up from Nairobi on Wednesday evening for Kampala where Saturday’s match will be played in a 16h00 kickoff at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
“ It is a great opportunity for us to play against KCCA, they are a great team with talented players,” Tusker FC coach Paul Nkata told a section of Uganda press upon arrival in Kampala this morning.
Meanwhile, Tusker held its first training session on Thursday evening for one hour at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
The team trained without their key player Allan Wanga who did not travel with the team.Shafiq Batambuze linked up with the squad in Kampala while captain James Situma failed to travel due to an injury.
