Tusker humiliate Chemelil as Sony, Ulinzi force draws away

Coach Leonard Odipo returned to the  bench and steered his club Sony to an impressive draw away at Posta Rangers after the miller’s two losses in a raw that sparked criticism from a section of fans. Ugandan import Robert Omunuk drew first blood in the 16th minute of the match but Rangers Timothy Otieno who is on loan from Gor Mahia equalized  three minutes later.

The match settled for the same scoreline in the first half.

In the second half  coach Leonard  Odipo brought on Victor Ademba who missed the Muhoroni loss for Victor Asembeka, Collins Kisuya for youngster Bonface Muchiri and newly appointed second assistant coach Sylvester Wanyama for goal scorer Robert Omunuk

Former Sony coach Zedekiah Otieno also retired Duncan Otieno  for Gershon Likonoh and brought in Victor Randick for Timothy Otieno. The changes however did not yield any goal as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

 

Bandari 1-1 Ulinzi

In Mombasa City, Visiting Ulinzi forced a 1-1 draw with Gotv defending champions Bandari. The soldiers were the first to score courtesy of  Cliff Kasuti  but the Twahir Muhidin side quickly leveled matters just before the Half time.

 

Muhoroni 1-2 Ushuru

Muhoroni Youth were shocked at their backyard  when Denis Wafula struck in the 83rd minute for a 1-2 scoreline. The tax collectors went ahead in the 10th minute courtesy of Veteran Charles Okwemba before leagues top scorer Wyckliff Ochomo drew level  in the 25th minute.

 

Chemelil 0-3 Tusker

Tusker FC shocked miller’s Chemelil humiliating them 3-0 with goals scored by Luid Kamadi in the 20th minute before Ghanaian striker Stephen Owusu added the second two minutes later. Michael Khamati sealed it with an 86th minute fine finish beyond reach of the miller’s.

Western Stima 1-0 Sofapaka

Western Stima registered a vital win grabbing all the points in Kisumu’s Moi Stadium beating visiting Sofapaka 1-0.the lone goal was netted in the 37th minute by Francis Ochola.

 

The match between City Stars against hosts Mathare is on at the Nyayo Stadium with City Stars two goals  ahead  courtesy of Ezekiel Odera and Oscar Mbugua  with the last clash of the day pitting AFC leopards  against Kakamega Homeboyz  at the same stadium
