Rwandan international Jacques Tuyisenge has penned a two-year contract extension at Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, club’s assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala has confirmed.

K’Ogalo has also secured the future of holding midfielder Earnest Wendo with a three-year extension.

“We are done with two as we look to keep our squad intact,” Ngala said.

He added: “Having qualified for the CAF Champions League next year, we want to strengthen the squad in readiness for the championship; our aim is to reach the groups stage.”

Tuyisenge, 26, boasts 12 goals in the ongoing Kenyan Premier League and is among the leading strikers in the chase for the golden boot with four matches to go.

The former Kiyovu Sports and Police talisman was heavily linked with January move to Rwanda’s army side APR alongside his teammates Meddie Kagere and Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza.

The club unsuccessfully sent an agent to Nairobi to sign a pre-contract deal with him.

Wendo on the other hand has shown tremendous growth in his second season in the topflight.

The former Bidco United midfielder has become a regular for the 16-times Kenyan champions this season and has managed to break into the national team Harambee Stars.

Gor have clinched the 2017 KPL with four matches to spare and have trailed their eyes on making a mark in the 2018 CAF Champions League.
