Two Years away unbeaten run of ZESCO United come to an end !

Nkwazi became only the second team in the Super League to beat ZESCO United away in the Super League. The last time ZESCO United lost a game in the Super League was on 16^th November 2014 in Mazabuka were they lost 2-0 to Nakambala Leopards.

Nkwazi beat ZESCO United in a week 23 rescheduled game played on Wednesday afternoon at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka. Mwila Kabwe scored his third goal of the season to send Nkwazi to 9^th position on 38 points and start dreaming of survival from the super league and will be hoping for two more wins to be sure of survival.

There will be a number teams that will celebrate the loss of ZESCO United and the first one will be ZANACO who now hold the initiative of winning their remaining games and win the title. The maximum points of ZESCO now stand on 80 points should they win their 10 remaining games while ZANACO’s maximum points now stand on 83 points should they win their remaining 6 games.

Nkana who are also fighting for the second spot realistically will be hoping for more lost points of ZESCO to have a realistic chance of getting the second spot and the maximum of Nkana stands as 72 points should they win their remaining four games.

Zesco will continue staying in Lusaka awaiting another tough encounter against Green Buffaleoes while Nkwazi will travel to the Copperbelt to take on relegation threatened Nchanga Rangers on Saturday.
