Ethiopia’s Red Foxes cruised past Egypt 3-1 in the first leg U17 AFCON qualifier away in Cairo Saturday.
The hosts shook the net first in the 17th minute but the Foxes responded in the 24th minute before assuming the lead minutes to the breather.
The visitors guaranteed the three vital points minutes to stoppage time with the third and the last.
Egypt travel to Addis on August 21 for the second encounter.
Eight teams will make it to Madagascar next year with semi-finalists booking a place in U17 World Cup in India later 2017.
