Days after guiding Uganda Cranes to a priceless 1-0 win away to Comoros in the AFCON 2017 qualifier, Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic is not taking a rest any soon as today (Wednesday) he outlined his plans for the team in the remaining qualifiers.
He was addressing the media at the Federation of Ugandan Football Association (FUFA) headquarters in Mengo, Kampala.
Apart from AFCON 2017, Uganda Cranes and Kobs are still in contention for spots in the CHAN 2016 and FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
“I first of all thank Government for the financial support, I thank FUFA, the players, fans and the media for the encouragement. The match against Comoros is now past, we are focusing on the future. We can only use it to reflect as lesson on how to improve on the overall team standing,” Micho told FUFA website.
The Serb has stressed on the need for proper planning; player management, partnership management, department management and team management.
“We plan to have friendly matches on the internationally recognized FIFA days. We look towards sharpening the locally based players through the Cranes Na-Mutima campaigns.”
He hinted on the need to widen on the pool of players available for selection as a means of having several options for at least four players per department.
