Serbian coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has quit his post as the coach of Uganda’s national side citing non payment of salary for months.

The coach announced the new development in a press conference on Saturday morning ending weeks of speculations regarding to his stay in Uganda.

” FUFA upto last evening never showed any interest of sorting out things, me and my agent Ivica Stankovic have agreed to practically terminate my contract,”said Micho.

Reportedly, clause 12d of his contract, spells out that when Fufa fails to pay salary for the coach for more than three months, then the coach is free to separate.

Micho joined the Cranes in 2013 and helped Uganda return to the African Cup of Nations this year after 38 years of waiting.

The coach is linked with a return to the troubled Orlando Pirates, a side he coached in 2006 and is believed to be in close contact with the club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.
