Saturday, The 8th day of September 2018 would see Uganda host the Taifa stars of Tanzania in the second group game of AFCON 2019 Qualifier.
Nothing gets sweeter for you than going away to your opponent’s house and grabbing a win. This, is the case for the cranes of Uganda, having gotten a 0-1 away victory against Cape Verde in June last year.
The victory for the Uganda cranes meant they would top the group with 3 points, as their upcoming for, Tanzania failed in Daar es salam to beat Lesotho, as it was a 1-1 stalemate.
Saturday is getting closer and Uganda vs Tanzania would go head to head, in a build up to the game, Soka25east.com caught up with Uganda Cranes Midfielder Moses Waisswa, via Correspondent Dehinbo Timothy.
In a chat with Soka25east.com, Waisswa expressed excitement after call up, and anticipates the game which would be his 15th Appearance for the Cranes.
“I feel so excited being part of this team, I can’t Wait to get on the pitch, and get the job done”. Hopefully I am played on the day. But overall, I am so excited” he said
Speaking Further, when asked how the team camp is, whether fear or not, Waisswa had this to say;
“There isn’t any form of fear within, Everyone is excited and eager for the day. We are going to play with all we have. The current state of our team show signs of belief and readiness to take the 3 points”
Finally, Waisswa said team play and love is key to them in stymieing Tanzania from upsetting them in Namboole.
“There is unity in the team, we intend to play as a team, with lot of team play and love, but honestly I don’t see Tanzania upsetting us here. We are ready ”
Waisswa concluded.
It’s 90 minutes + that’s going to decide who takes the glory in Namboole, but it’s looking like the odds favour Uganda who are at home
