Uganda Cranes first choice keeper Dennis Onyango who plies his trade for Mamelodi Sundowns has alluded to the fact that despite being considered underdogs against Ghana they will not relent to fight tooth and nail against their opponents in Kumasi on Saturday.
Onyango who has 29 caps for Uganda is the man coach Micho will look upto as he seeks to stop the marauding Ghana strikers led by Asamoah Gyan.Soka25east.com caught up with Onyango who candidly shared his sentiments about the game .
“I have to follow the coaches tactics and do my best it will not be easy against Ghana but as players we know in football there is no easy game as we have to fight to the last minute”.”
“You have to face the best in football to improve your game and as a team we are determined to give 100 percent and make our fans happy ”
Asked what he thought about Uganda chances knowing well Ghana were a seasoned team ,Onyango was forthright“We are the under dogs but we know our qualities we can surprise them(Ghana) if they try to underate us .The entire team is motivated and very determined we hope for the best”Onyango told Soka25east.com
Onyango has had a chequred career playing for Sports Club Villa between 2004-2005,St.George of Ethiopia 2005-2006,Supersport United 2006-2010,Mpumalanga Black Aces 2010-2011 and currently at Mamelodi Sundowns .
