Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed that Uganda Cranes will play a warm-up match with Kenya’s Harambee Stars on 30th August, 2016 at Namboole stadium.

Cranes and Stars will be using the international friendly as part of preparations for the final 2017 AFCON Qualifiers against Comoros and Zambia respectively.

Uganda and Comoros will face off on the weekend of 2-4th September, 2016 at Namboole Stadium while Kenya will travel to Lusaka over the weekend.

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic has welcomed the news about the friendly.

‘I am very happy that we have secured an international friendly match against a very good team. It will serve us a general check of players from a whole team shape before the match against Comoros.’ said Sredojevic.

Uganda Cranes and Burkina Faso are tied on 10 points each in group “D” that also has Botswana and Comoros.

Kenya on four points and Zambia with six in group “E” are already out of the road to Gabon 2017, and will be battling for pride.
