Uganda Cranes captain Andrew Mwesigwa has attributed the great performance against Ghana in which the latter had to get a late penalty as one of the best for his country.
In what was not expected, Uganda Cranes went to Kumasi as the underdogs facing a more seasoned Ghana side with top star players but the 1-1 results gave Uganda more impetus especially being an away match against the Black Stars.
Mwesigwa who was inspirational for Uganda was over the moon as he spoke to Soka25east.com on his thoughts after the famous draw.
“Great fight from the Cranes,we deserved more than a draw but we thank God for the results away from home and my word to the cranes soldiers is that we should stay focused and fight even more harder in the remaining 5 games and am very sure God will reward our efforts with qualification this time round in Jesus’s name Amen..Big up to you boys and the struggle continues. For God and my country Uganda”Mwesigwa said
Uganda Cranes face off with Guinea on Wednesday in Kampala and will be hoping to continue with their good run in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifers as they hope to qualify for the elusive Afcon with an appearance at the 2015 Afcon in Morrocco.
