Uganda slips in FIFA Rankings.
The recent 2-1 loss to Zambia has seen Uganda Cranes dropping one place in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings released
Uganda dropped from 84th to 85th place in the world and from 18th to 19th in Africa. Cranes lost to Zambian Chipolopolo in a key friendly played in Ndola in Zambia on the 5th of this month. Uganda gathered 391 point, nine points below the previous ones.
Uganda’s biggest recent rise was in August 2013 when the country rose three places to perch at number 77 in the world from 80th the previous month [July].
This was after their strong performance in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers and the Africa Nations Championship wins against Tanzania.
Ivory Coast remains Africa’s best despite dropping one place from 23rd to 24 in the world while Algeria remained second. Egypt previously fifth has risen to third place.
Spain maintained top spot with 1506 points. The same applies to Germany and Argentina in second and third respectively. Portugal and Colombia have swapped places to occupy fourth and fifth respectively.
