Uganda Revenue Authority FC Chairman Ali Ssekatawa on Wednesday 25 delivered 17 motor cycles (also called Boda Boda) to URA FC players at the end of their training session at Hormis Dallen Primary School in Gayaza.
The motorcycles, are to help players supplement their incomes. This promise was started by URA Commissioner General Doris Akol when he visited the team at the start of the year, Ali explained.
“We know we pay you a salary but we want to supplement your earnings. Use them well such that you can also have something to boast about,” Akol was quoted in January.
A total of 40 bikes will be availed to URA FC staffers on a hire-purchase arrangement.
“We are looking at a way of having a self sustaining system and when our staff is sorted they can play well,” Ssekatawa said.
