Uganda have put forward a request to neighbors Kenya for a friendly match ahead of AFCON qualifiers.
The tentative date for the build up tie is March 9 at Kisumu’s Moi Stadium in the Western partof Kenya.
Uganda Cranes Coach Milutin ” Micho ” Sredojovic confirmed this to Soka25east.com.
“We would like gauge ourselves against Harambee Stars before we play Burkina Faso away. We would prefer the match to be played in Kisumu because of a similar climate as the one we will encounter in Burkina Faso. We hope this will be confirmed soon.”
Harambee Stars assist Coach Musa Otieno when contacted however said he was not aware of such plans. We could not reach FKF officials clarification.
Uganda travels to Burkina Faso on March 26 before hosting them three days later in the reverse leg of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.
Kenya on the other hand will also start away to Equitorial Guinea on March 23 before hosting the second leg on 26 in Nairobi.
