Miya has dominated headlines this season helping his club vipers to their first Azam Uganda premier league title earning himself a well deserved MVP.He capped his stellar perfomance with an astonishing brand of football that helped Uganda Kobs to demolish Rwanda in the Africa Under-23 Tournament that acts as a 2016 Olympic qualifer.

Farouk Miya has dominated the length and breath of the pitch with his potent sting courtesy of incredible goals buoyed with solo runs that split open any mean defence as he immediately grew in stature.

Farouk Miya is fast becoming an indispensable member of the Ugandan team as players of his persuasion are a premium commodity on the market, especially in National team.Miya has become the creative hub through which tempo and the majority of the teams attacking endevours are channeled through making a strong presence and creating a niche for himself.

He has been at the heart of transformation at Vipers and instead of relying upon the usual direct economy Miya has been tempered with poise and delicacy needless to say both coach Micho and the fans love him as his stroke of genious in every game he has played.

Farouk Miya’s eye catching exploits has made him a target of many teams from across the region with Kenyan premier league coaches salivating at the prospects of landing the genuine talented player.

Farouk Miya will be the key player when Uganda  visit Egypt July 17–19 before the return fixture on August 1. The winner will then qualify for the Caf U-23 championships due November 28- December 12 in Senegal. The top three teams nations qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
