Match: KCCA vs Cosmos De Bafia Venue: Mandela National stadium, Namboole
The Abdallah Mubiru side hope to build from last year performance where they eliminated El Merreikh but were later suffered exit after a late goal from Zambia’s Nkana Fc. The team has however faced a shaky preparations; loosing to a lowly ranked Zanzibar Police side in Mapinduzi, a 2-1 loss against El Merreikh and recently 1-0 down against the Uganda U23. However the coach is optimistic- “Our performance isn’t bad but am worried of the low conversion rate. What gives me optimism is the fact that we create chances and I believe
we’ll iron out the finishing bit before the weekend.”
The hosts will miss Michael Birungi who was stubbed by robbers, Tom Masiko pulled a hamstring in training while new signings Francis Olaki, Savio Kabugo are also out.
