Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho has confirmed parting ways with Serbian top division side Red Star Belgrade for breach of contract.

Aucho, 24, joined the club on a six-month deal in February this year as a free agent from South Africa’s Baroka Swallows.

The former Gor Mahia midfield anchor cites nonpayment of salary as one of the reasons for the decision not to renew his stay.

“I and my agent have decided to terminate the contract because they are not working according to the details of the contract,”

“We have dragged them to court – demanding my pay arrears,” Aucho said.

He also lamented racism but holds the city of Belgrade is “cool.”

Aucho does not rule out returning to Gor Mahia but says he is closely evaluating offers already on the table.

“I love Gor Mahia, but now I’m weighing the options I already have.”
