The much sought after clash between Tanzanian rival clubs Simba and Yanga at the Mapinduzi Cup will eventually take place.
The game though will not be at the stage many had anticipated after both fell at the semifinal stage of the competition.
After Mtibwa held on to beat Simba 1-0 in the first semifinal, Ugandan side URA also ensured Yanga will also settle for the third place playoff after edging their opponents 4-3 in the post match shootouts.
They showed plenty of character too after down early on to an Amissi Tambwe 13th minute strike before forward Peter Lwasa beat the offside trap to score the equalizer in the 75th minute.
They then held their nerve in the shootouts with Jimmy Kulaba, Saidi Kyeyune, Deo Otieno and Brian Bwete all converting to capitalize on misses by Geoffrey Mwashiuya and Malimi Busungu.
