In a bid to extend appreciation and involve the central government more into the game of football, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has invited the President of the Republic of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the Chief Guest of the upcoming delegates General Assembly.
This was revealed by the FUFA 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha at a press conference held at FUFA House Mengo on Wednesday.
“We have invited the Presidents as the chief guest to the upcoming General Assembly. This is because of the support we receive from him and of most recent the funding of the Comoros trip “Said Justus.
The General Assembly will run from the 26th -27th of September 2015 at Soroti Hotel, Soroti town .Over 82 delegates are expected to take part in this assembly.
At the same news conference, Mugisha elaborated on the programme for the two days event; He said Saturday 26th will basically be for arriving by the delegates plus a get-together dinner for all the delegates and other guests in the evening.
On Sunday, delegates will discuss all the issues as contained in the agenda book that was sent to all stakeholders including going through all the financial reports set to be presented by the FUFA executive.
Meanwhile it has been confirmed that FUFA will on present financial reports for only 18 months.
FUFA communications officer Ahmed Hussein told journalists at the same meet, ‘’ we are prepared to present our audited books of accounts for part of 2013 from the date Moses Magogo assumed office and the whole of 2014’’. He added that 2015 will be accounted for in the next annual general assembly.
FUFA’s financial year runs from January to December according to its constitution.
