Report from down South indicates Uganda Cranes’ Yasser Mugerwa is among players omitted from Orlando Pirates’ pre-season camp in Potchefstroom.
Mugerwa who signed a three-year deal with the Soweto giants in August 2015, has failed to break into the team, and could be among those earmarked for axing as Coach Muhsin Ertugral plots for the new 2016/17 season.
Others set for the exit door includes; Lehlohonolo Majoro, Felipe Ovono, Rooi Mahamutsa, Lehlohonolo Masalesa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Sifiso Myeni.
Mugerwa was a big hit while at Sports Club Victoria University and was a regular with the national team bofore making the dream professional move to the highly rated ABSA Premiership, South Africa.
The 24-year old midfielder has since dropped down the perking order in the Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic’s side which is poised to make a return to Nations Cup since 1978 – due to the lack of play time at club level.
The Bucs are expected back in Johannesburg in time for Carling Black Label Champion Cup on July 30.
