Ghana defender Najeed Yakubu has joined Ukrainian top-flight side FC Volskla Poltava.
The right-back has been signed on a 3-year deal until 2021 on Monday after passing a mandatory medical test.
Najeeb moved to Green and White outfit following the expiration of his contract with Ghanaian lower-tier side – Unistar Academy last term.
The 18-year-old was being chased by a several European teams but decided to sign for the Ukrainian outfit to continue with his development.
Najeeb was a member of the Ghana Black Starlet squad at the Afcon U-17 football tournament in Gabon in 2017.
Also, he represented the nation at the FIFA World U-17 tournament in India that year.
He could make his debut when Vorskla Poltava visit Karpaty in the league on Saturday – September 15.
Vorskla Poltava currently hold the 7th spot with 9 points on the log sheet.
