Gor Mahia will host Ulinzi Stars in a SportPesa Premier League match at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Sunday afternoon.

The army men are placed third on the standings with 25 points, two behind their opponents in a 18 team log. They picked only one point in their last two league matches before the league break.

According to Ulinzi Stars captain James Saruni, his team will be back into winning ways in their quest to remain in top three positions on the table.

“We can’t afford to go for a third match without winning and we are all prepared to bounce back with three points. Our target is to remain well within the top three and with three points, we will achieve that,” the captain said in an interview with club portal.

Saruni added that he expects the match will be tough since both teams will want to prove they are better but added his team will be going for the three points on offer from the onset.

“We have worked hard in training and everyone is ready to fight for three points. It will be a tough match because Gor is also a big team and they are tough to beat. But we know what we need to do and we will fight for three points,” he added.
