Kenya’s Sunday 7 opponent in the U17 Madagascar 2017 Nations Cup qualifiers Cameroon finished third in the UNIFFAC U17 tournament held in Congo Brazzaville.

The round robin championship that commenced on July 26 to August 1 in the Central African nation was won by Congo DR who accumulated 8 points.

Host Congo Brazzaville finished second with 8 points (+7 goal difference) same as Cameroon who had inferior goal difference.

Cameroon beat CHAD 4-0, Gabon 3-1, drew with Congo 1-1 and lost to Congo Brazzaville 4-3.

The team returned to Cameroon and is set for the match against the East Africans scheduled at Stade de Bafoussam.

Chad, another participating country received fair play trophy while the Gabonese Nzengue bagged the golden boot with five goals.

Jerôme Bakaly Mandeng of Cameroon meanwhile, won the prize for best referee.
