The Uganda Premier League entered the match day three with a total of eight matches played in various venues across the nation.
Only nine goals were netted in the matches; KCCA being the biggest winners with a 2 – 0 victory over visiting Soana FC at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. The comfortable win was attained from Joseph Ochaya penalty in 64th minute and Muzamiru Mutyaba strike in 67th minute making sure Kasasiro boys maintain the top place on the log ,two points ahead of second placed SC Villa FC.
SC Villa disloged Vipers from second position in a 1– 0 win over bottom placed JMC Hippos at the Nambolee.The Jogoos escaped the Hippos mounth with Ambrose Kirya goal in 67th minute to register second win of the season that saw them having a tally of 7 points.
In other matches Saints FC shocked BUL 1-0 with Godfrey Wakaza scoring the all important goal in the 15th minute.
At Champions Stadium Matugga,hosts Lweza FC eased past Bright Stars with a 1-0 win with a beatiful goal from Hassan Kikoyo in the 60th minute in a highly tensed match that saw four yellow cards flashed to Lweza FC players.
The rest of the matches ended in draws with Express being held by the visiting Onduparaka to a one all draw at the Mutesa II Stadium.
At the sugar belt of Lugazi, Uganda Cup champions SC Vipers were forced to rally from behind to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw with URA FC.Erisa Ssekikambu struck in 86nd minute to cancel out an early goal by Labama Bogota to ensure for shared points.
Two barren draws of the day were in Wakiso and Bugembe where
Kirinya-Jinja played host to Sadolin Paints whereas the match between Police and Proline at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium ended also in 0 – 0 draw.
