URA FC have finally sacked head coach Kefa Kisala after he failed to reverse the club’s indifferent start to second leg of Azam Uganda Premier League.
The development followed a meeting by the club leadership on Sunday night.
Kisala has since been replaced by his assistant coach James Odoch on temporaly basis.
Informed club sources also revealed that former assintant coach Ibrahim Kirya has been roped in as head coach.
Kisala managed to scoop only twenty four points and has left the tax payers on 7th position in the Uganda Premier League just eight points above relegation zone.
“This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make last night to keep the interests of the club keep going forward, Kisala has brought discipline and a sense of working together in the team which the board appreciates,”said URA Chairman Kiiza James.
Kisala joined URA as the head coach in December 2015 and led the three times league champions to Mapinduzi Cup trophy after 15 days in office.
He previously served as assistanct coach to Basena and was promoted to the head coach position.
Interim coach James Odoch first assignment will be on Tuesday where the tax collectors are lined up to face Lweza FC at Wankulukuku.
