URA FC overpowered Onduparaka FC at Lugazi while Proline FC held title favourites Vipers SC at Lugogo and Soana nip JMC Hippos at Kakindu in Saturday Uganda Premier League matches.
Proline FC 2-2 Vipers SC ( Philip Omondi Stadium)
Proline FC blocked Vipers ambitions to close the gap between them and leaders KCCA ensuring they did not win but got a 2-2 draw.
Vipers SC needed just a win in this fixture to keep pace with table leaders however goals from Kezron Kizito and Erisa Sekisambu were not enough to help them go past Proline who scored twice courtesy of Fahad Bayo and Sam Kintu.
Proline almost snatched a win but Vipers keeper saved his side with the tips of his fingers after a Saddy Keyune well taken shot for unfruitful corner.
Bukenya Deus missed a chance to get a winner for Vipers SC, after a well taken low shot in 83rd minute getting inches wide with Proline keeper well beaten.
URA 3-1 Onduparaka FC (Mehta Stadium,Lugazi)
Mohammad Shaban opened the scoring for the visitors in the fifteenth minute after getting the better of URA goalie.
Peter Lwaza helped himself to his first goal at the Lugazi side taking advantage of defence mix-up to slot home in 39th minute.
Onduparaka started the second half well forcing a number of saves from URA goalkeeper with Ceaser Okhuti, Shaban Mohammad and Wahab Ghadaffi missing clear chances.
Ten minutes after start of second half Ronald Kigongo then announced his presence on the field with a goal on 54th minute as Caterpillars struggled to make an impression in this match.
Out of the run of play, Shafiq Kagimu scored the third goal for URA firing into the bottom right corner as Onduparaka two matches unbeaten run came to an emphatic end.
JMC Hippos 0- 1 Soana FC (Kakindu Stadium)
The match looked destined for a draw before a special piece of play eventually separated the two sides.
David Ssali curled a nice shot from the right wing to score in the 71st minute for the visitors.
