Ushuru FC and Nairobi City Stars FC played out a largely disappointing 0-0 draw in a Kenyan Premier League match played on Friday, 4th November 2016 at Ruaraka.

It was a result that means that they must win their remaining match and hope that Sofapaka fumble badly if they are to retain their place in the top flight.

The first half was an open attacking affair where both sides had chance to get on the score-sheet, City Stars through Jimmy Bageya and Oscar Mbugua and Ushuru through Tony Nyang’or.

Benson Iregi had a great shot on goal on 10th minute with his cross flying over the bar while Bageya too had a pop from distance twenty minutes with his shot hitting the woodwork.

Nyangor looked a threat all afternoon and his run and interchange of passing with Denis Wafula nearly created a goal for the home side but his shot was wayward on 32 minutes.

In the second half both teams were full of attacking intent with the home side looking more threatening of the duo. Deniss Wafula beat City Stars full-back Calvin Masawa on the flanks but his shot was easily picked by Odhoji Shaban.Four minutes later, Ebrimah Sanneh combined with Barrack Odhiambo but his shot too was over the bar.

City Stars opportunities came through Jimmy Bageya on 56 minutes but his shot was not strong and was easily gathered by Ronny Kaguzi with Benjamin Iregi and Festo Omukoto also having shots on goal that were to no avail.

Robert Ndungu had a late opportunity but he shot over the bar with time running out while Tony Nyangor effort was blocked with four minutes to go as the game ended goal less.

Ushuru remain in 14th position with only one game to play while City Stars remain bottom having already been relegated.
