Gor Mahia opponents USM Algers will take part in the Arab league after the draw made yesterday
USM who’s chances of qualifying for continentals were dealt a huge blow losing 3-2 to JS Saoura in Bechar will play Iraqi side Air Force Club .
The draw for the prestigious Arab Club Cup was held yestreday in Saudi Arabia.
CAF Confederations cup participapants USM Alger and Moroccan giants Raja Athletic club will feature in the tournament .
USM Alger will face the Iraqi formation of Air Force Club (Al Qowa Al Jawiya).
The Arab tournament will be played with the direct elimination system in the first round which will be played in two rounds. The first leg for the Algerian outfit will take place in Baghdad on August 8th, 10th, 11th or 12th, 2018, the return leg will be Algiers on September 27th or 29th in Algiers
This happens just a week before they travel to Dar es salaam to face Yanga and later on welcome Gor Mahia
Other African teams in the tournament are Al Ahly ,Ismaily , Zamalek of Egypt,Wydad Club of Morroco,Etoile du Sahel and Esperance of Tunisia,Al Merreikh of Sudan and Entente Setif of Algeria.
Also particiapting are rivals MC Alger ,CS Sfaxien and Al Ahly Tripoli.
The 38 year old tournament is one of the Union of Arab associations where Confederations of African Football and Asian Football Federations teams participate
The defending champions are Esperance Tunis of Tunisia.
