Victor Wanyama in Senegal as he awaits flight to Bissau 10 hours to crucial Afcon clash

The Lion of Muthurwa Victor Wanyama is indeed a man with great passion for his country Kenya.

From the comfort of Southampton where everything is done professionally he has had to encounter torid moments on his way to represent Kenya where he is captain.

As we write this article Victor Wanyama is at Dakar Airport awaiting his flight to Guinea Bissau at 6.40am, 9.40EAT Flight from Dakar to Guinea Bissau  which is s one hour flight.

Wanyama arrived in Morocco on Monday and missed a connecting flight to Guinea Bissau and like the Lion he is he had to sacrifice and sleep on the seats inside the Casablanca airport sacrificing the comfort of his bed just one day after a virtuoso performance against Liverpool where he completely changed the game for Southampton to win 3-2 coming from 2 goals down.

The Lion of Muthurwa will only have like 8 hours rest before taking to the pitch in an important 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against hosts Guinea Bissau.

It’s barely 5 months ago that he had to undergo another torrid moment with Harambee Stars when their Chartered plane from Nairobi to Cape Verde took over 22 hours only arriving in Praia 3 hours to the game they lost.
