Abdallah Mubiru was on Monday unveiled as Vipers FC new coach in a colorful ceremony held at the Imperial Beach Hotel in Entebbe
The former Ugandan international midfielder takes the new role from George Nsibe,his main task being to push Vipers in claiming Azam Uganda Premier League title they last won in 2006 as well as guiding the team in CAF Confederation Cup.
In same ceremony the club president Mr Lawrence Mulidwa highlighted the club vision and plan among other strategies for the upcoming season.
“As a club we have a very big strategy and goal that we aim to achieve but we can only attain that when we plan well and implement our objectives,” Mulindwa stressed.
“We were good last season but we must be the best this time around,” he added.
Apart from the new coach the club also brought other new staff on the technical and administrative departments that will work hand in hand to push Vipers forward.
Technical Staff
The new technical staff will include Haruna Kyobe as Head of Technical duties,Ronald Ssali will assume the role of chief scout with Youth development and Academy being headed by Richard Wasswa.
New Players
The new players that have joined the team include Ibrahim Kayiwa formerly with Express FC and Bian Kakaire who was a major signing from Voxjo, Sweden.
The club also promoted players from Vipers Junior team having impressed and performed well Ashrraf Mandela (defender),Bashir Mutanda (forward),Goffrey Wasswa (defender)
Mr Simon Sekanya was also announced as the head of Marketing and Sponsorship whereas Mr Kenneth Muwanga will be head of media.
