The biggest game of the weekend in the UPL sees Vipers FC and KCCA FC face off today in a match day 6 encounter.
Unarguably the top two teams in the league currently, and that also tells on the standings as Vipers FC top the table with 13 points from 5 matches, with KCCA FC having 11 points from same amount of games.
Ahead of the game which much excitement is expected, Coach Mike Mutebi has stressed that KCCA FC are going away to get a win and nothing other than that.
In a presser on Friday afternoon, the coach said;
“We’re not going to Kitende for a point, we are going for a win, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have respect for vipers. They have a good pitch, and all teams want to play on a good pitch.
Their coach is trying to get the best out of them, but it takes time. I have seen them try 3-5-2, but they were struggling and now they are trying a 4-3-3.
I believe we shall have a good game, if both set of players play to instructions.” Mutebi said.
The game is one which should provide lots of scintillating scenes as it’s a top of the table clash, and could mean a lot in the league season.
Kampala’s last visit to Vipers was a 0-1 win in a Cup competition in June this year. That’s gone though and games like this always spark up another dimension, and it’s 90 minutes of the players work rate and the coaches tactical finesse that Will determine who gets the bragging right this time around.
