Vipers Sport Club wametawazwa rasmi mabingwa wa soka nchini Uganda msimu huu.
Hii ni mara ya pili kwa klabu hiyo ambayo zamani ilifahamika kama Bunamwaya FC kunyakua taji la soka nchini humo kwa wingi wa alama 69.
Katika mchuano wake wa mwisho dhidi ya Bul FC siku ya Jumanne, mabingwa hao walipata ushindi wa bao 1 kwa 0.
Bao la kuendeleza sherehe za Vipers FC lilitiwa kimyani na Faruku Miya katika dakika 36 ya mchuano huo uliohudhuriwa na maelfu ya mashabiki akiwemo rais wa Shirikisho la soka nchini humo FUFA Moses Magogo.
Vipers FC sasa itawakilisha Uganda katika michuano ya klabu bingwa barani Afrika CAF msimu ujao.
Kocha wa Vipers FC Edward Golola aliteuliwa kuwa kocha bora wa mwaka kwa kufanikiwa kuwaongoza vijana wake kushinda mechi 20, kwenda sare 9 na kufungwa tu mchuano mmoja msimu huu.
Robert Ssentongo naye amemaliza ligi hiyo akiongoza kwa ufungaji wa mabao 15, Miya Faruku ametuzwa taji la mchezaji bora hukuDennis Kamanzi akishinda taji la mchezaji chipukizi msimu huu.
Vlabu vilivyoshushwa daraja ni pamoja na Rwenshama FC, Entebbe FC na Kira Young FC.
Lweza FC waliwashinda mabingwa wa zamani KCCA bao 1 kwa 0 na hivyo kuponea kushushwa daraja, pamoja na Simba FC na Soana FC.
Lweza FC waliokuwa na rekodi mbaya dhidi ya KCCA siku ya Jumanne, ilikuwa ni siku ya kulipiza kisasi kwa mujibu wa kocha wa klabu hiyo Hamza Kalanzi.
“Hatukufungwa mechi sita za mwisho kwa hivyo tulijiapiza kuhakikisha kuwa hatufungwi na tunasalia katika ligi hii msimu ujao,” Kalanzi aliongeza.
Abdul Suleiman Semugenyi Afisa wa Uhusiano mwema wa klabu hiyo ya Lweza amesema kujitolea kwa wachezaji hao uwanjani na nidhamu ya hali ya juu ni sababu nyingine iliyosaidia klabu hiyo kutoshushwa daraja.
