Yanga head coach Hans Van Pluijm walked away with the best coach award after his prowess guiding the janhwani side to back to back league title together with the federation cup, he is also with the giant club in the group stage of the CAF confederations cup. He beat Mtibwa sugar coach Mexime Mecky and Prisons Salum Mayanga
Yanga’s marksman Amisi Tambwe won the top scorers award and sealing the five star triumph was Zimbabwean Thabani Kamusoko who beat fellow countryman Donald Ngoma and Simba keeper Ivorian Vincent Angban for the best foreign player award
However Simba SC youngster Mohammedi Hussein Tshabalala won the young player of the season award .He beat Azam’s Farid Musa and Mtibwa ”s Shiza Kichuya
Samba’s Ibrahim Ajib’s audacious chip against Mgambo JKT was voted the best goal of the season
Azam keeper Aisha Manula was voted the best goalkeeper following an impressive season between the posts, he beat Yanga keeper Deogratius Munishi and Prisons Beno Kakolanya
The function was graced by Home Affairs minister Mwigulu Nchemba who urged fans to embrace patriotism in the continentals, he urged Simba fans to support Yanga during the continentals and show solidarity
