Morogoro based side Mtibwa Sugar ensured they maintained the top spot in the Tanzania Vodacom League after a convincing 2-1 win over Mwanza based side Mbao FC .

Defending champions Young Africans registered their second draw of the season after they were held by Majimaji FC while rivals Simba beat Mwadui 3-0 with Ugandan international scoring a brace and sixth so far.
