Gor Mahia midfielder Innocent Wafula made a return to the Sportpesa Premier League champions camp following a long absence clouded by uncertainty over his future at the club.
Wafula joined the team’s Thursday afternoon training session at Camp Toyoyo Stadium to mark a full house attendance for Coach Frank Nutall’s charges ahead of the new season 2016 kick-off.
The midfielder had been rumored to be on his way out of the club during the January transfer window and was mostly out of reach while on leave.
His return coming just three days after Ugandan midfield king-pin Khalid Aucho also rejoined the team will be a big boost for Nutall’s new season campaign as the Scott faces the uphill task of guiding the club into the CAF Champions League group stages.
Gor Mahia host Madagascan champions CNaPS at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, 13th February 2016 in the first leg of the preliminary round qualifier.
The opponents touched down at the Jommo Kenyatta International airport (JKIA) shortly after 6:00pm on Thursday.
