Chipolopolo head Coach George ” Chicken” Lwandamina has named a 22 man provisional Squad for the upcoming Cosafa Castle cup.

The squad will be undergoing training in Ndola between 24th and 27th April.The list has familiar names in it ,but certain players that who were expected are missing.

Some players who have impressed in the recent past have not made the cut. The likes of Walter Bwalya and Jacob Ngulube are some of the talents that missing from the list.Below is the list of the missing Players:

Walter Bwalya :The Nkana attacker has been one of the most impressive strikers since the start of the new season.He has managed to score 5 goals in 6 appearances which is very impressive.

Jacob Ngulube : The Former Mighty Mufurila wanders Midfield had settled well at Nkana establishing a place in the starting eleven.The Midfield Maestro has even managed to net 3 goals for the log leaders.

Larry Bwalya : The left Footed attacker is said to be one of the most talented young lads in the MTN/FAZ super League.He has had a decent start to the season Netting twice .One of which was a beautiful curled left foot strike which the Samuel “Zoom” Ndhlovu Charity Shield for Power Dynamos.

Lawrence Chungu: The Power Dynamos Left Back is one of the best and most consistent left backs in the Country.Chungu is a workaholic and his perfomance speaks for him.

Fackson Kapumbu: The Zanaco Leftback is rated among the top 3 best left backs in the league and has killer crosses and his form is fantasticin the recent past.

Aubrey Funga: Many pundits have named Funga has the best attacking player at Zanaco.Funga single handedly initiates all zanaco moves going forward.He is rated as one of the best attcking midfielders in the country and is goal scoring prowess is not bad at all.

Taonga Bwembya : The mighty Mufurila wanderers skipper is one of the best defenders in the country.He has been a wall in that Wanderers defense.His freekick taking ability is also an added advantage.

These are just some of the players that have done enough to receive a call up.

With that said their is only a limited number of players the coach can call at a particular time and he alone has the power to chose who he feels deserves to be in his team and can get the job done for him.Zoom
