Defender Musa Mohamed and
Godfrey Walusimbi committed their
future to Gor Mahia after agreeing
with the club to renew their
contracts.
The new deals will see them having
two more years each with the 2015
Sportpesa Premier League
champions.
Their contracts had ran out and
speculations were sizzling in the air with possible exits being rumoured but the big step which is a boost to the club, has done away with what many K’Ogalo fans would hate to hear.
Confirming the contracts renewal
news to the official Gor Mahia
website, club’s chairman Ambrose
Rachier said the club is in the
process of putting things together in readiness for next season.
“We are in the process of securing
the future of our players in
preparation for next season and we
should be done in good time to
submit names to CAF,”said Rachier.
Adding to club’s chairman’s words,
Team Manager Jolawi Obondo stated
that they are done with two players in Godfrey Walusimbi and Musa
Mohamed and soon will finish up with the remaining three players.
“We already agreed on terms with
Walusimbi and Musa with two years
deal in place for them. We are on
with negotiations and will soon finish up the process with the remaining players,” said Jolawi.
Five key players ( Godfrey Walusimbi,
Musa Mohamed, Michael Olunga,
Meddie Kagere and Harun Shakava)
had their contracts ending this year and it will be good news should all of them renew their contracts.
