Kabwe Warriors battled to a 0-0 draw against Mufulira Wanderers in a FAZ MTN fixture played at Shinde Stadium today.
Paulo Silva was not at all impressed that his players failed to utilize home ground advantage.
The home side were expected to win the match and the men in green started brightly with Kunda heading wide from a dangerous cross in the 7th minute.
Wanderers kept coming at as Paulo Silva kept barking instructions from the touchline telling his team to press their opponents.
But Warriors held firm for the first 20 minutes and soon started engineering their famed short passes in the midfield through captain Martin Daka and Godfrey Ngwenya.
Warriors almost took the lead in the 35th minute. Mwansa Nsofwa unleashing a powerful left shot but the Wanderers keeper was equal to the task, pushing the ball out for a corner.
The second half was equally even as both teams came out looking for the opener. Again the home side wasting good chances from favourable attacking positions.
Wanderers skipper Taonga Bwembya always dangerous on the set pieces came close on 75 minutes but could not put the ball in the net as his free kick skimmed the roof of the net.
Lameck Kafwaya also coming close for Warriors late on but his header went agonisingly wide.
And that’s how it finished. Both coaches in the end settling for a point each.
