The FUFA Big League yesterday Continued with match day 3 at different stadiums at both Elgon and Rwenzori groups.
At the Rwenzori group wasteful Kireka United failed to go joint leaders as they were denied by Water FC at Namboole stadium.
In a one side match in the first half, the home side Kireka Utd attacked from all corners only to miss out on clear chances with victims being lanky striker Edu, Mulangira Shafiq and prodigal son Daniel Otto.
They continued threatening through set pieces and long throw ins by defender Onyango Tom but still the visitors defence marshaled by veteran skipper Mubarak Tenywa was alert to deal with all threats.
The visitors got one chance in the first half after defender Onyango Tom fouling out side the box but the resultant free kick went direct into the Kireka strong wall.
In the second half all things changed with the visitors attacking more having got tough instructions from coach Vialli and Juma Kaka and in the 53rd minute it needed goalkeeper Bogere Muhammad to be totally alert to deny the visitors a lead with a double save off Okello short.
The awaited moment by the home side came in the 69th minute when Mulangira Shafiq netted his third goal of the season in a controversial manner after a blunder from skipper Mubarak Tenywa as he was in an off side position but match day referee Ssali allowed it.
From their the visitors squeezed for an equaliser until the 82nd minute when Kassuju Isaac capitalised from a Semambo Farook error to level matters for the visitors.
The introduction of Bright Haguma on the visitors side was a blessing as he won free kicks which saw Titi Samuel see yellow after a foul on him.
The result denied Kireka an opportunity to go join leaders. Kireka now has five points from three matches and Water has two points from three matches.
