The biggest club in Livingstone with over demanding supporters. This is the team I have been watching in the past 26 years. A alot has been said, and it seems as soon as things gets better than confusion emerges.
The club is sponsored by the Livingstone City Council. Over decades of my avid of following this club, I have observed that a fiasco can start from anywhere: the executive, technical bench and sometimes by the players themselves. If its not someone cutting ties, then it’s a protest over something.
Pirates, started their pre-season on a poor note with few players turning out for training. A number of promising talents are opting to try their lucky elsewhere including third tier’s Maramba stars, a side that is stealing the limelight in Livingstone.
Bimaile’ 75% Sponsorship deal of Maramba Stars while still reigning Chairman of Livingstone Pirates
What effects the 75% sponsorship contract of Bimaile with Maramba Stars has on Livingstone Pirates?
A Chairman/President is the head of the club with the responsiblity of providing leadership and direction. Bimaile’s take over of Maramba Star’ sponsorship means there is a void of leadership at Busiku ground.
Pirates are on the disadvantage side Bimaile’s commitment and loyalty will now be shared to Maramba Stars. On moral ground, the Mr Phiri should have privatized the interest of the club by holding onto one position only.
People who are so close to him, normally inform of how bad things are at Pirates. My suggestion is, he should allocate time out of his busy schedule time at Maramba Stars and visit Busiku to see for himself.
They are only two executive members at Pirates, the rest Mr Bimaile has appointed them at his new club, thus leaving the two available ones with a burden to monitor the progress.
It is worth to note–I’m not in any way against his sponsorship at Maramba Stars, Im only stressimg how he’s neglecting his role of Chairmanship at Pirates.
In Conclusion, Bimaele p
Phiri will be of a great service to Maramba stars and be a de-service to Livingstone Pirates. At this moment, the Busiku ground hailing side is lacking leadership. There are only a few months prior the kick start of the 2017 season and status of quo at Busiku ground is not impressive–you would be compeled to think its a school team preparing for a Championship.
I’m well aware that someone will come in with defensive remarks; “It’s my company sponsoring Maramba Statrs. I have well reaserched very good researched and know his role in Maramba. I’m appealling to the sponsors to call for an elective Agm so that the executive will have renewed mandate and have proper legitimacy.
Catch me again next week Monday for yet another interesting episode.
