The Kenyan Premier League match day 3 continued as Western Stima maintained their winning formula to ascend to the top of the league table just weeks after being promoted back to the league.
Former champions Tusker claimed their first win as Zoo Kericho were also impressive just before the team took their Christmas break.
Western Stima 2-1 Kakamega Homeboyz
Western Stima ascendency continued with a well-deserved 2-1 win over Kakamega Homeboyz in Kisumu. Peter Thiongo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 35th minute but Kennedy Agogo Otieno, who had come in for Wesley Kemboi after the breather, levelled matters with a calm finish in the 73rd minute.
Baron Oketch was having a good game and he found Agogo with a neat pass in the 81st minute, the latter grabbing his brace and the winner to send Stima to the top of the log with 9 points from 3 matches.
Mathare United 0-0 Ulinzi Stars
Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars played to a barren draw in a match played at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
KCB FC 1-1 Bandari FC
KCB picked their first point of the season after sharing spoils with Bandari in Machakos. Felly Mulumba had given Bandari the lead going into the breather but Clinton Kisiavuki equalized 13 minutes after the restart.
AFC Leopards 2-2 Sofapaka
AFC Leopards and Sofapaka played out to an entertaining 2-2 draw in Machakos. Marvin Nabwire opened the scoring for Ingwe with a wonderful goal in the fifth minute but Michae Oduor levelled matters with an inswinger two minutes after the breather.
Aziz Okaka put Ingwe ahead with a quarter an hour to go but Cornelius Juma ensured the teams share spoils as he equalized in the 90th minute.
Tusker FC 3-0 Mt Kenya United
Tusker FC picked their first win of the season by dispatching Mt Kenya United 3-0 at Kasarani thanks to goals by David Juma, Amini Muzerwa and Kevin Ade Omondi who scored in the 8th, 45th and 79th minute respectively.

Zoo FC 2-0 Chemelil Sugar
At the Green Stadium in Kericho, Zoo FC also picked their first win of the season by beating Chemelil Sugar FC 2-0, second-half goals coming in courtesy of Brian Asewe and Kepha Ondati.
Vihiga United 0-1 Sony Sugar
A late goal by Enock Agwanda was all Sony Sugar FC needed to beat Vihiga United in an entertaining match played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
