Kenyan International defender David Ochieng popularly known as Cheche is back to the country after failing to get a contract at Swedish top side Djurgarden Soka25east.com can reveal.
Ochieng had travelled to Sweden for trials at Djurgaden who wanted a centre back but things did not work out as expected.
A top source who was privy to the deal in Sweden intimated to Soka25east.com reasons that forced Cheche as he is popularly known by his adoring fans to come back home.
“Djurgaden had been interested in getting a centre back and Ochieng was proposed and he was training well with the team but when they were travelling for pre season to Turkey he suddenly demanded for a contract before engaging adamantly refusing to travel for the trip at that point the officials of the team got upset and decided to release him to travel back to Kenya that is how he made it back”The source who sort anonymity told Soka25east.com
Ochieng joined another Kenyan Michael Olunga in the trial but the latter is still in contractual talks with the club who are so impressed by his great form.
David Ochieng has been club less since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Tawoon in 2015 after two seasons playing for them.
